Veterans at Uber is Uber's community for military veterans, retirees, reservists, National Guard, and their families and supporters from their respective countries.
Our mission
Our mission is to empower Uber to source, hire, develop, and support top-tier veteran and military spouse talent across the organization to improve business outcomes. Our network facilitates veteran outreach, camaraderie, and mentorship opportunities around the veteran community. We also strive to raise awareness within the company about our Veterans, their issues and contributions to the company.

Chuck DeLongchamp
Distribution Program Manager
Chuck DeLongchamp is the Global Distribution Program Manager at Uber, responsible for managing our distribution hubs worldwide. In addition, he’s an active reservist and Logistics Readiness Officer in the United States Air Force. Chuck has more than 17 years of military service coupled with 10+ years in operations and logistics roles in the private sector. Since joining Uber in 2016, Chuck has worked tirelessly to champion veterans initiatives and issues.
Christine Stout
Christine Stout is Senior Manager for the HR Business Partner team supporting the US/CAN Rideshare organization and is based in the Uber offices in Washington, DC. She previously led the People function for the Armed Forces Services Corporation and several tech startup organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a military spouse who relocated from the West Coast with her husband who is currently a Commander in the United States Navy, Christine has been a Veterans at Uber ERG ally since joining Uber in 2016. She leads Uber’s veteran hiring initiatives along with other special projects.
Anthony Colon
Senior Software Engineer
Anthony Colon is a Software Engineer in the Driver organization. He works on projects and features that engage, recognize, and celebrate Uber drivers. Anthony has been a member of the Veterans at Uber ERG since February 2017.
He served 6 years in the US Navy as an Electrician's Mate aboard the USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier across 4 deployments. His primary duties were the operation and maintenance of the ship's propulsion plants including electrical, mechanical, and nuclear reactor systems.
Wesley Hernandez
Self-Driving Vehicle Test Engineer
Wesley Hernandez is a Vehicle Test Engineer working to develop self-driving vehicles in Pittsburgh with Uber ATG. Before Uber, he worked in manufacturing performing operations, repairs, and upgrades to robotic equipment used to perform chemical etching of silicon wafers. Wesley served 6 years in the Navy as a nuclear propulsion plant operator aboard the USS John C. Stennis aircraft carrier.
Chang Zuo
Executive Assistant
Chang Zuo is an Executive Assistant supporting the leadership of the Growth Platform and AI teams at Uber. Before Uber, she had experience working in media, video production, talent acquisition, executive recruiting, and international business development. She is also a US Army ally and spouse.
