Uber Reserve Terms of Use

Uber Reserve trips are subject to the following terms and conditions (‘Reserve Terms’). These Reserve Terms supplement other terms you have agreed to with Uber, which govern your use of the Services. Terminology in these Reserve Terms that is not otherwise defined has the meanings as in the General Terms.

• Uber doesn't guarantee a driver will accept your reservation request, and ‘Reservation Confirmed’ does not mean a driver has accepted. You can see your driver’s details in the app when a driver has accepted.
• You may be charged a cancellation fee for cancelling a ride under certain conditions. Please see your in-app Reserve Cancellation Policy.
• Reserve prices may differ and be higher than on-demand prices for the same trip.
• Pick-up and drop-off times are estimates and may change based on traffic and other real-world factors.

Reserve Pricing and Promotions

When you request a Reserve trip, the trip price you see will be an estimate that varies depending on the pick-up address and/or the day and time of the trip. A premium is built into the estimate provided when booking and is typically displayed as part of the ‘trip fare’ on your receipt. In certain locations, or on some trips (e.g., where there is a change in route, distance, or duration which causes a change in your trip fare, or some taxi trips), you may see this premium listed separately on your receipt as a ‘reservation fee’. This fee is paid by riders for their driver's additional waiting time and the time and distance spent travelling to the pick up location.

Your ride price may increase if the length, duration, or route of your trip changes.

Certain promotions may not be eligible for use with Reserve trips. See applicable promotion terms for details. Eligible promotions will be applied to your Reserve trip price at the time your driver is prompted to begin travelling to your pick-up location. Note that promotions are not eligible for use on Local Cab or Uber Taxi, as applicable.

Cancellations

You may be charged a cancellation fee for a requested Reserve trip if you, your family profile member, or your guest rider, as applicable, cancels your request under certain conditions. Please see your in-app Reserve Cancellation Policy for the cancellation policy that applies to your trip.

Reserve cancellation fees are typically higher than they are for on-demand trips. Wait times and cancellation fee amounts vary by ride type and by location. Refer to the Cancellation Policy in the Uber app for wait times, cancellation fee amounts, and minimum lead times (if applicable) that apply to each ride type.

You will receive a notification when your driver is on the way. However, if your driver is expected to be significantly late, for most trips (excluding airport trips), we’ll let you know in advance, and you'll have 10 minutes from that notice to cancel at no charge.

Country/Region-Specific Uber Reserve Terms:

Canada: Reservation Fees are capped at a maximum of CAD80.00.

Colombia and Honduras: For clarity, the term ‘trip’ as used in these Terms refers to a ‘lease’ or the act of ‘carrying out a lease,’ and the term ‘driver’ refers to the ‘lessor’.

France: Pricing (including advance booking and waiting time surcharges) for Uber Taxi and Taxi Business trips is calculated by applicable regulations. See the in-app product details for these options for more information on regulated taxi pricing.

Hong Kong: When reserving a trip, you request that the driver-partner: (1) reconfirm the trip at the time stated in-app before pick-up and (2) refrain from cancelling less than an hour before pick-up.

Uber Platinum: Uber Platinum trips are only available in the United States.

United Kingdom: By reserving an Uber Reserve trip through the Uber platform, you make an offer to purchase the Uber Transportation Services which are the subject of your Uber Reserve reservation. There is no obligation on us to accept this offer, and we can decline your offer for any reason. Your offer will only be accepted when we provide written confirmation of the Relevant Uber Transportation Services via text message, email, or push notification from Uber's mobile application. This message, email, or push notification will include details of the driver who has confirmed their availability to fulfil your Booking.

United States: For Uber Platinum trips, upon booking your reservation, we may share your pick-up and drop-off details with third-party fleet partners to fulfil the trip.
