UBER & TRANSPORTATION SERVICE PROVIDERS - DATA SHARING POLICY

This policy describes how Uber and local Transportation Service Providers share your personal data to provide train or rail transportation services requested through the Uber app (“Services”). You will be able to search and book train and rail journeys through the Uber app, which will be provided by the relevant Transportation Service Provider.

By proceeding with your request you acknowledge that Uber will share your personal data for the provision of the Services.

Uber and the Transportation Service Provider will process your personal data acting as independent data controllers.

What personal data are we sharing?

To allow you to request the Services directly through the Uber app, the following information will be shared between Uber and the Transportation Service Provider:

• Your contact details (first and last name, phone number, email address)
• Booking data (Age, date of birth, country of residence, country of IP address location, country code of payment method provided, discount card number, etc.)
• Trip Data (dates of travel, start and end location, fare charged)

Uber and the Transportation Service Provider will share the personal data on an ongoing basis during your use of the Services. For more information on the processing of your personal data by the Transportation Service Providers, we encourage you to check out their Privacy Policy.

Why do we share your personal data?
Uber and the Transportation Service Provider use this personal data to provide you with the Services, detect and prevent fraud, for safety and security purposes and to improve products and services.

Customer Support

For any customer support related queries, please reach out to:

• Uber, if it regards your Uber account, your payment method, payment details, customer support on the tickets you have purchased, or the sharing of your personal data to the Transportation Service Provider; and
• The relevant Transportation Service Provider, if it regards lost and found, compensation for delays, luggage information, amendment and customer support of selected ticket types. In this case, you must contact the Transportation Service Provider directly.

In certain cases, Uber and the Transportation Service Provider may share data submitted by you as part of your enquiry to help resolve the issue.

Want to stop sharing your personal data?

If you do not want your data to be shared, you can simply do so by stopping to use the Services or submit a request through Uber’s customer support channels.
