Each driver assigned by their carrier to a load booked via Uber Freight will receive a $20 promotional credit for Uber Eats, subject to the following terms and conditions. The load must be successfully delivered to its destination in order to qualify. The promotional code for the $20 credit will be emailed to the recipient within seven days of the load delivery date. Each recipient will be eligible for one $20 credit per week (week defined as Monday-Sunday) if he or she has delivered at least one load using the Uber Freight app in that week.
This promotional offer of credits will expire at 11:59 p.m. (ET) on June 1, 2020 (the “Offer Period”). Uber Freight may extend the Offer Period in its sole discretion. Unused promotional credits received prior to the end of the Offer Period will expire at 11:55 p.m. (PT) on June 30, 2020. Each promotional credit is valid for up to $20 off the menu price of all items in your next order on Uber Eats (excluding taxes and service fees). The promotional credit cannot be used to pay taxes or the applicable service fee. A Small Order Fee may also apply. To redeem this offer, you must apply the promo code in the Uber Eats app before completing your order. This promotional credit may be combined with a free delivery fee offer but not with any other offers. Valid only in the U.S. See the Uber Eats app for details and location availability.
Uber Freight customers may tender FMCSA qualified COVID-19 emergency relief load to Uber Freight (as defined here) via the Uber Freight Shipper Platform (“Relief Loads”) during the Relief Period. The Relief Period will expire at 11:59 p.m. (ET) on May 15, 2020, or upon the termination of the emergency declaration by the appropriate federal authorities, if earlier (the “Relief Period”).
Relief Loads may be eligible for Zero Profit Pricing in accordance with the following terms and conditions. “Zero Profit Pricing” means that for Relief Loads, Uber Freight will not be allocated any gross profit, because either (i) the shipper’s linehaul rate payable to Uber Freight does not exceed the linehaul rate payable by Uber Freight to the performing motor carrier or (ii) if the shipper’s linehaul rate does exceed the linehaul rate paid to the carrier by Uber Freight upon delivery, Uber Freight will grant the shipper a credit on the load equal to the difference between the two rates.
Eligibility for Zero Profit Pricing will expire at 11:59 p.m. (ET) on April 12, 2020 (“Zero Profit Pricing Eligibility Period”). To be eligible for Zero Profit Pricing, a Relief Load must be tendered during the Zero Profit Pricing Eligibility Period with a scheduled pickup time during the Zero Profit Pricing Eligibility Period. Each shipper-customer on the Shipper Platform may tender up to 60 Relief Loads subject to Zero Profit Pricing during the Zero Profit Pricing Eligibility Period. Uber Freight reserves the right to change the terms of this program and/or waive this limit in its sole discretion. Uber Freight reserves the right to review and remove the shipper-customer’s Relief Load designation from loads that do not meet the FMCSA’s criteria, and such loads will not be eligible for Zero Profit Pricing. Valid only in the U.S.
Uber Freight will be sending sanitization supplies to Small Carriers that are Active on the Uber Freight platform in accordance with the following criteria:
- “Active” means carriers who have completed at least 12 Uber Freight loads over the last three months in the U.S.
- “Small Carriers” means carriers who have less than 12 drivers as reported through the FMCSA Safety and Fitness Electronic Record (SAFER) System
The number of items we distribute to each qualified carrier may vary depending on the size of the carrier or number of drivers as reported through the FMCSA Safety and Fitness Electronic Record (SAFER) System. Each sanitization supplies package will contain surface spray that has demonstrated effectiveness against viruses.
The sanitization supplies will be distributed to each qualified carrier’s business addresses registered with Uber Freight, with an estimated delivery time of 4 to 6 weeks after the press announcement, though the actual date will depend on the transportation conditions within the market, accuracy of the addresses, and availability of supply. Supplies will be limited to 16,000 units.
Shippers wishing to support food banks and medical providers affected by the COVID-19 epidemic may participate in the Uber Freight Food & Medical Relief Program (the “Program”) subject to these terms and conditions. For each shipment qualifying for the Program, Uber Freight will pay the performing carrier on behalf of the shipper as further set forth below.
To qualify for the Program, shipments must meet the following criteria: (i) the shipment must include commodities requested by an eligible recipient; (ii) the shipper must provide the goods free of charge; (iii) the receiving food bank or medical provider must be included in the list of eligible recipients below; and (iv) the shipment must be delivered to the designated food bank or medical provider.
Uber Freight will send shippers invoices for each load shipped under the Program. These invoices will reflect that Uber Freight paid the servicing carrier the linehaul rate (and the shipper will not be charged any fuel costs for the shipment). Shippers will be responsible for accessorial fees, and must pay such amounts within 30 days of the invoice date.
The Program will begin on April 13, 2020 and continue until June 30, 2020. Eligibility for the Program will be determined by Uber Freight. Uber reserves the right to modify, change or discontinue this Program in its sole discretion, without further notice.
The following recipients are eligible recipients for the Program: any food bank associated with Feeding America.
