UBER TAXI - DATA SHARING POLICY

This policy describes how Uber and third party transportation service providers (“Service Providers”) share your personal data to provide you the “Uber Taxi” transportation services you’ve requested through the Uber app that will be fulfilled by the Service Providers (“Services”). You will be able to book rides with Service Providers through the Uber app who will also arrange the Services.

By proceeding with your request you acknowledge that Uber and Service Providers will share your personal data to provide you the Services.

What personal data are we sharing?

To allow you to request the Services directly through the Uber app, Uber shares the following information with Service Providers and the driver that will fulfill your trip:

• Your name, and your location information, such as the pick up and drop off information, which will be anonymised for the driver after completion of the trip; and your chat data with the driver

Your phone number will not be provided to the Service Providers or the drivers, but you and the drivers may be able to contact each other using a calling service which masks phone numbers for both you and the driver.

Service Provider will share the following personal data with Uber:

• booking data to allow Uber to collect relevant fees (date, start and end time, vehicle details and fare charged)
• trip data for your trip history records (date, start and end time and duration of trip, route information, including point of pick up, GPS locations of trip, point of drop off, distance travelled, your driver details, and vehicle details).

Complaints & Incidents: in case of a complaint or incident during a trip fulfilled by Service Providers, your personal data may be shared between Uber and Service Providers, as well as with law enforcement agencies or regulatory bodies. This will include your contact details, relevant data about the trip, the incident, or actions taken, and may be used to take appropriate action on your Uber account.

Why do we share your personal data?

Uber and Service Providers use this personal data to provide you with the Services, also described above in more detail, detect and prevent fraud, for safety and security purposes and to improve products and services.
