この度 Uber は、日本における Uber Eats（読み：ウーバーイーツ）の責任者（President of Uber Eats）として、武藤 友木子を迎えます。武藤は今後日本のリーダーシップチームの主要メンバーとして、重要市場である日本の Uber Eats のビジネスを統括します。

武藤は新規顧客開発の日本代表を務めたグーグル合同会社から Uber へ参画します。グーグル合同会社以前は、オープンテーブル株式会社の代表取締役社長を務め、日本での経営を担いました。それ以前は、6年間にわたり、トラベルズー・ジャパン株式会社で代表取締役社長およびTravelzoo Asia Pacificのエグゼクティブオフィサーを務めたほか、楽天株式会社では楽天ダイニング事業の統括本部長を含む様々な要職を担い、事業の再編や特別プロジェクトの統括を担当しました。

武藤は、アンダーセンコンサルティング（現アクセンチュア）戦略グループでキャリアをスタート。その後、co-founderとして起業した事業を楽天株式会社に売却しています。

就任に当たり、武藤は以下のようにコメントしています。

Yukiko Muto, appointed President of Uber Eats, Japan

We’re delighted to announce Yukiko Muto is joining Uber as the President of Uber Eats, Japan. As a key member of Uber’s Japan leadership team, Yukiko is responsible for overseeing the Uber Eats business in Japan, a priority market for Uber Eats.

Yukiko joins Uber from Google, where she was the Head of New Business Sales in Japan. Prior to Google, Yukiko was the President of OpenTable overseeing its operation in Japan. Previously Yukiko was the President of Travelzoo Japan and an Executive Officer of Travelzoo Asia Pacific for more than 6 years and also held various senior roles at Rakuten, including the Managing Director for Rakuten Dining, where she was responsible for restructuring the business units and managing the special task force projects. Yukiko began her career with Andersen Consulting (Accenture) before co-founding ProTrade. (ProTrade was acquired by Rakuten in 2000.)

Commenting on her appointment, Yukiko said: “Uber Eats is at the forefront of shaping the food delivery across Japan and experiencing tremendous growth. I’m excited to be joining the team, and leading the next chapter of the business.”
