We know your time is valuable and so, we’ve now introduced two new features to improve your pickup experience and save everyone a little bit of time and frustration.

Valuing drivers’ time

Sometimes your driver arrives before you’re ready. When that happens, you don’t have to rush, but a small per-minute wait fee will now be charged after 5 minutes. This small change makes a big difference for drivers.

How this works:

1. Once your driver arrives at the pickup location,  you will receive a push notification communicating the arrival
2. Your driver will wait for up to 5 minutes after arriving at the location
3. If the ride doesn’t start within 5 minutes, wait-time charges will kick in
4. Wait-time charges are not applicable on uberPOOL and UberHIRE
5. Wait-time charges are applicable only for rides in Mumbai:
