WHAT’S THIS ABOUT?
Rice dumplings are sticky rice treats wrapped in bamboo leaves. It has become a tradition to enjoy this delicacy during the Dragon Boat festival to commemorate Chinese Poet, Qu Yuan’s sacrifice – when local people raced boats out to save him, sparking the tradition of dragon boat races, and sticky rice were dropped into the river to distract the fish from Qu Yuan’s body.
