New York, New York |
San Francisco, California |
Chicago, Illinois
Full Time

About the Role

At Uber, we’ve spent the last three years building and scaling a fast-growing Uber Ads division focused on unlocking the next era of advertising across our global platforms. With a foundation in place, Uber Ads now empowers merchants, brands, and advertisers to connect with a highly engaged user base across our Mobility and Delivery apps in 32 markets.

The US&C Grocery & Convenience Ads business is a key driver of this success, helping leading brands across Grocery & Convenience to reach and convert customers across the Uber ecosystem. As we enter our next phase of growth, we're looking for a dynamic leader to take our Retail advertising efforts to new heights.

As Head of US&C Grocery Advertising Sales & Account Management, you’ll be responsible for building - from the ground up - a high-performing sales and account management organization. This team drives revenue across Uber’s Delivery and Mobility platforms, managing an established and growing book of business. You’ll build & lead our USC Grocery & Convenience Ads strategy, focusing on strengthening client partnerships, unlocking new growth opportunities, and operationalizing for long-term success.

What You'll Do

  • Build & own the USC Grocery & Convenience Ads sales and account management strategy with a focus on sustainable growth, client retention, and cross-platform expansion.
  • Over time, you will lead and inspire a high-performing team of Account Executives (AEs) and Account Managers (AMs), setting clear goals, tracking performance, and coaching top talent.
  • Drive continued revenue growth from a nascent business by deepening relationships with key advertisers and unlocking incremental spend opportunities.
  • Partner closely with US&C Grocery Commercial leadership and cross-functional leaders (including Marketing, Product, Operations, and Analytics) to align on strategy, priorities, and customer experience.
  • Optimize internal processes and tools to scale execution, improve performance visibility, and ensure strong operational rigor.
  • Inform product strategy by working closely with the Ads Business Leads & Ads Leadership — advocating for features and solutions that enhance advertiser outcomes across awareness, trial, and conversion.
  • Shape go-to-market plans and collateral in partnership with Ads Global Partnership Solutions, ensuring a consistent message across external channels and field teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of advertising sales experience.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience of leading advertiser or account sales team for a big advertiser or at an agency.
  • Proven track record of building and managing a multi-million dollar advertising business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8+ years of leadership experience at a digital media platform or at a large Grocer.
  • Be customer obsessed (users and merchants) and be passionate about building great experiences for Uber users all over the world.
  • Focus on building businesses, not features. Experience building and leading businesses, including ownership and optimization of business performance metrics
  • Be able to work cross functionally with many other roles and stakeholders in the company
  • Exceptional communication skills, both within your team and with leadership and partners
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a thirst for learning
  • MBA or equivalent
