About the Role

This is a high-impact role at the heart of Uber’s low-cost transportation strategy in EMEA. You will join the regional program team managing the Moto and the Low Cost portfolio, focusing on defining and executing the operational strategy for this critical, high-priority category.

As a Regional Operations Manager, you will drive the execution of the Moto and Low Cost strategy across EMEA, responsible for implementing  new market launches and scaling existing markets. You will partner with a vast stakeholder community including Engineering, Comms, Compliance, Product, Marketing, and Legal to design processes and tactics that shape the Earner journey and drive platform preference

What You'll Do

  • Lead geo‑expansion for Moto & Low Cost
  • Execute opportunities (new cities and new countries) in partnership with regional teams.
  • Own the playbook for lDrive execution of launch playbooks by providing deep functional expertise, operational guidance, and hands-on support to ensure high-quality go-lives, while leveraging centrally defined best practices and cross-market learning launches, providing functional expertise, best practices, and hands‑on support to ensure high‑quality go‑lives. Maintain and continuously improve the launch playbook based on field learnings
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational blockers with global stakeholders to ensure successful launches and early-stage stability.
  • Execute supply performance and marketplace health strategy
  • Deeply understand earners - their needs, economics, and behaviors.
  • Define strategies that drive earner acquisition, engagement, and retention while safeguarding marketplace health and unit economics. Surface insights and on-the-ground learnings to inform strategy refinement and further roll outs
  • Translate strategy into clear priorities, guardrails, and operating models for regional and cross‑functional teams.
  • Track marketplace health and take corrective actions where needed
  • Lead cross‑functional initiatives
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Regional and local Ops, Policy, and Safety to design scalable solutions that improve earner experience and platform reliability.
  • Ensure smooth execution of cross‑functional projects, from problem definition through rollout and performance tracking, including owning execution tracking, performance monitoring and issue resolution post-launch
  • Drive strategic innovation and best‑practice scaling
  • Design and iterate on globally relevant levers to grow supply (e.g loyalty programs, engagement and incentive schemes).
  • Run experiments and pilots, synthesize regional learnings, and scale proven solutions across markets.
  • Advocate for tech and tooling improvements that unlock step‑change efficiency and experience gains for earners and operators.

What You'll Need

  • 6+ years of experience in operations, strategy, or data‑driven roles in industries such as technology, management consulting, investment banking, or FMCG.
  • Proven data and analytics fluency, including:
  • Advanced Excel/Sheets skills (complex formulas, dashboards).
  • Experience working with large datasets, deriving insights, and turning them into clear recommendations.
  • Strong data‑driven decision‑making and business judgment; able to connect analysis to commercial and operational outcomes.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving mindset: can break down ambiguous problems, propose structured solutions, and partner with regions to remove growth blockers.
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, including working with senior and cross‑functional partners.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.

Bonus Points If

  • Extensive experience in operations or strategy roles within high‑growth, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience working across multiple product verticals and/or mega‑regions, ideally within EMEA.
  • Strong executive communication skills – able to synthesize complex insights into concise, action‑oriented recommendations.
  • Track record of building playbooks, scalable processes, and governance mechanisms, and driving best‑practice adoption across markets.
  • Familiarity with marketplace dynamics (supply/demand, incentives, unit economics) and with 2‑wheel or low‑cost transportation models is a plus.
