Consumer Strategy and Operations Manager

Business Development
Sydney, Australia |
Melbourne, Australia
About the Role
Uber Eats Australia and New Zealand have been extremely successful markets for our global business and we are looking for a Consumer Strategy and Operations Manager to help drive our next phase of growth. The successful candidate will be a Consumer XLOB (Cross-Line-of-Business) growth coordinator championing the Eats XLOB workstream across ANZ, acting as the connective tissue between our Mobility and Delivery businesses, identifying opportunities to grow cross-platform adoption, deepening our understanding of multi-product consumers, and unlock incremental users and trips by leveraging the full breadth of the Uber platform.
What You’ll Do
  • Own the Eats XLOB workstream: Act as the primary champion for cross-platform growth initiatives, ensuring alignment with Mobility counterparts and driving execution end-to-end.
  • Identify and size XLOB growth opportunities: Use data to understand how consumers move (or don't move) between Eats and Rides. Map the cross-platform journey, identify conversion gaps, and quantify the incremental value of multi-product adoption.
  • Drive strategic recommendations to leadership: Translate complex cross-platform data into clear, actionable strategies. Build business cases for investment in XLOB initiatives and secure buy-in from senior stakeholders across both lines of business.
  • Continuously evolve the XLOB playbook: Test, learn, and iterate on cross-platform growth levers from in-app cross-promotion to bundled value propositions. Play a part in deploying consumer campaigns into the ANZ market, and scale what works into repeatable strategies.
  • Advocate for the ANZ consumer experience: identify pain points and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance ease of use, reliability, and satisfaction to make using Uber Eats a delight.
What We’re Looking For
  • Analytical Mindset and Execution Power: A strong problem solver with exceptional analytical and data-driven decision-making skills. You thrive in tackling multiple emerging issues simultaneously, dealing with ambiguity, and excel at finding innovative, effective solutions.
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: You will have a large amount of data available, so you will need to understand the nuances of each metric in order to seamlessly bring it into the broader analysis. It is second nature to you to double check and document, and you go to extensive lengths to make sure things do not fall through the cracks.
  • Exceptional Strategic Thinking Skills: A proven track record of developing and executing forward-looking strategies in dynamic, high-growth environments. You will be taking strategic workstreams from ideation to execution and will require consideration of a wide range of factors including macro-economic and competitive environments, investment appetite, and operational capabilities.
  • Adaptability and Innovation: A proactive mindset that thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to swiftly adapt to changing priorities and market conditions. You continuously seek out opportunities to innovate and improve our consumer experience and value proposition.

What You’ll Need
  • 3+ years of demonstrated high-performing work experience in consulting, strategy, analytics, or operations, ideally spanning multiple product lines or business units.
  • Consistent track record of using data-driven insights to solve complex, open ended problems, which you will have built by leading projects including launching and optimising processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication. You can craft a compelling business case, and pitch it to senior business leaders, confidently telling a data backed story that helps secure buy in.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and data acumen. You are a natural at sourcing qualitative and quantitative data to help define problems and solutions clearly, with experience dealing with complex data sets using excel (or Google sheets) to derive insights.
