About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic operator to join the Marketplace and Courier Operations team as Strategy and Operations Manager. In this role, you will lead the strategy, optimisation and operational execution of courier pricing to ensure a healthy, balanced and efficient marketplace.

You will be responsible for developing scalable marketplace strategies that improve courier engagement, optimise financial efficiency and strengthen supply reliability across varying market conditions. This role will drive critical marketplace initiatives including courier incentive design, predictive marketplace modelling, supply retention strategies and financial integrity initiatives. You will also support the roll out of key marketplace products supporting core marketplace operations.

The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking, operational excellence and advanced analytical capabilities with the ability to execute cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with regional and local stakeholders to ensure marketplace performance supports both customer experience and sustainable business growth.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end strategy and execution of courier pricing, incentives and marketplace optimisation initiatives, balancing courier satisfaction, operational efficiency and platform profitability.
  • Design, test and scale marketplace pricing products including organic fare structures, dynamic pricing mechanisms, multiplier incentives, multi-order products and quest frameworks.
  • Build and maintain predictive models to forecast marketplace conditions, supply-demand imbalances, spend trends and operational risks, translating insights into actionable marketplace strategies.
  • Develop and execute operational playbooks for key marketplace scenarios including rain management, seasonality planning, courier utilisation and supply reliability.
  • Drive courier retention and engagement strategies by identifying churn risks, analysing lifecycle friction points and implementing proactive interventions to improve supply stability.
  • Optimise marketplace financial health through process automation, arrears management improvements and continuous monitoring of marketplace efficiency metrics.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, product, finance and regional stakeholders to execute marketplace initiatives and deliver operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Need

  • 5–7+ years of experience in strategy, operations, marketplace management, consulting, analytics or related operational roles within high-growth or fast-paced environments.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving capabilities with experience working with large datasets, forecasting models and operational performance metrics.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic initiatives and independently drive execution across multiple stakeholders and functions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across local and regional teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL and/or data visualisation tools is required.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, manage competing priorities and make data-driven decisions in dynamic operating environments.
  • Experience in pricing, incentives, supply operations, marketplace optimisation or operational strategy is highly preferred.
