About the Role

We are looking for a strategic, analytical, and people-oriented leader to manage Core Operations for Uber’s Mobility business in Argentina.

This role will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution across Driver Access, Rider Access, Growth, Experience, and Safety. The person in this role will own key marketplace growth and experience outcomes, including active driver and active rider targets, while ensuring that our operations are scalable, compliant, and user-centric.

You will lead a team and work closely with Central Operations, Regional teams, Local Operations, Product, Safety, Marketplace, and Support stakeholders to identify opportunities, translate data into action, and drive high-impact initiatives across Argentina.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical capabilities, structured problem-solving, operational excellence, stakeholder management, and people leadership.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Own and monitor key business metrics across driver access, rider access, growth, experience, and safety, including active driver and active rider targets.
  • Lead the local strategy and execution plan to improve driver and rider growth, activation, retention, engagement, and overall experience.
  • Identify operational improvement opportunities across the driver and rider lifecycle, from funnel conversion to long-term platform engagement.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring clear priorities, strong execution, and measurable impact.
  • Partner closely with Central and Regional Operations teams to align priorities, influence roadmaps, and execute global and regional initiatives locally.
  • Translate complex data and business signals into clear insights, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Operations, Product, Safety, Marketplace, Support, Legal, Policy, and CommOps.
  • Build scalable processes, dashboards, and routines to improve visibility, decision-making, and operational performance.
  • Proactively identify risks and emerging issues that could impact marketplace health, user experience, safety, or business growth.
  • Represent Argentina’s local operational needs in regional and central forums, ensuring local context is incorporated into decision-making.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Operations, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in Operations, Strategy, Consulting, Marketplace Operations, Product Operations, Business Intelligence, Growth, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and turn data into actionable insights.
  • Proven experience managing teams, setting priorities, coaching talent, and driving execution through others.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience working across regional, central, and local teams.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and drive projects end-to-end.
  • Strong business judgment and ability to balance growth, experience, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience building dashboards, performance routines, and operational processes is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SQL proficiency or experience working closely with data tools is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for different audiences.
  • Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
