Marketplace Operations Manager
About the Role
As a Marketplace Operations Manager for Southern Europe (SE) you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable levers to foster supply and demand growth and engagement across the region. On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Monitor marketplace performance in Italy and Greece
- Design proposals for supply- and demand-side investments, execute them and evaluate their performance
- Work on innovative projects, digging deep into the backbone of the Southern Europe marketplace using advanced analytical tools
- Launch new marketplace product features, including advanced pricing technologies
- Drive automation of key business processes
- Design and execute marketplace experiments and leverage their results to drive operational improvements in the marketplace
- Support financial management, forecasting and budgeting for the region
- Contribute to Southern Europe strategy development and implementation
- Support development of leadership-level presentations
What You'll Do
- Performing pricing analyses for Southern Europe region
- Launching new pricing, investments and matching solutions and technologies
- Performing root cause analyses to explain movements of key marketplace indicators
- Data modeling (R or Python are strong nice to have)
- Dashboard design and implementation (e.g. Google Studio, Gsheets)
- Building ETL pipelines and data automations (including AI-based automated workflows)
- Financial management and budgeting
- Strategy development
Basic Qualifications
- English proficiency
- Data extraction, cleansing, analysis and visualization - strong competency with SQL, Excel (Gsheets) is a must
- At least basic familiarity with tools and methods of statistical or econometric analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Strategy development
- Financial management (basic understanding of budgeting and P&L management) and ability to develop business cases
- Ability to translate data insights into recommendations and link deep dive data analysis with broader strategy
- Working familiarity with AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude Code, Cursor)
