Senior Operations & Logistics Manager - Southern Europe Rider – Airports
About the Role
Airports and travel hubs are Uber’s first touchpoint for travelers and represent our largest strategic growth opportunity. As the Senior Operations Manager for Southern Europe, you will own the performance of one of Uber’s most high-impact mobility use cases across Italy, Greece, and Malta. You will bridge the gap between digital product and physical operations, building best-in-class partnerships and scaling seamless on-the-ground experiences.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Partner Management: Act as the primary lead for senior-level relationships with Airport Executives and commercial teams. You will own the full partnership lifecycle—from initial deal sizing and negotiation of commercial agreements to long-term joint business planning and roadmap development.
Performance & Growth Ownership: Own the end-to-end P&L for Airports and Travel Hubs in your region. You will quantify and prioritize growth opportunities through rigorous modeling, ensuring we maximize rider acquisition, throughput, and revenue generation.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the regional "quarterback" for travel initiatives. You will coordinate with Product, Marketing, and Business Development to drive localized marketing campaigns, implement product rollouts, and ensure operational accountability across all internal stakeholders.
Physical Experience Optimization: Translate Uber’s digital excellence into the physical world. You will oversee pickup zone design, signage, and wayfinding strategy to ensure a frictionless transition from the terminal to the vehicle.
Operational Excellence: Drive on-the-ground execution through regular site audits, billing management, and feedback loops. You will identify local pain points for riders and drivers, deploying rapid solutions and pilots (e.g., new pickup flows or in-app features) to maintain a premium brand perception.
Basic Qualifications
6+ years of experience in operations, strategy, consulting, or business development.
Partnership Mastery: Strong negotiation skills and a track record of managing complex, high-stakes external stakeholders.
Analytical Rigor: Proficiency in data-driven decision-making, with the ability to build business cases and translate complex datasets into actionable strategy.
Operational Execution: Experience managing field operations or physical "on-the-ground" implementation in fast-paced environments.
Industry Knowledge: Experience within mobility, travel, or complex marketplace businesses is highly preferred.
Bonus Points
Fluency in Italian or Greek.
Experience navigating regulatory landscapes or commercial airport contracts in Southern Europe.
