About the Role

As Head of Driver, Spain, this role will lead growth, performance, and innovation across Spain’s driver ecosystem to support long-term market success. This will include:

  1. Drive driver growth across key supply segments, including PHV, fleet partners, and Taxi
  2. Manage strategic relationships with key external partners and third-party stakeholders
  3. Accelerate Taxi growth and strengthen Uber’s position as a leading multi-mobility platform in Spain
  4. Improve driver engagement, retention, and overall marketplace health
  5. Lead the Driver Operations team to execute strategic priorities and operational initiatives
  6. Identify structural opportunities to unlock supply growth and improve operational performance
  7. Help shape the long-term driver and supply strategy for Spain

On top of that, the Head of Driver will be an integral part of the Iberia Mobility Leadership Team and contribute to broader marketplace, growth, and strategic priorities across the region.

What the Candidate Will Do:

  1. Define and evolve the driver growth, engagement, and retention strategy for Spain
  2. Lead and develop a high-performing Driver Operations team
  3. Drive supply growth initiatives across key segments, including PHV, fleet partners, and Taxi
  4. Manage strategic partner relationships to support growth, quality, and operational excellence
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic initiatives are successfully designed and executed
  6. Track performance of key driver, supply, and marketplace metrics, and ensure targets are met
  7. Identify operational improvement opportunities and implement scalable solutions
  8. Partner closely with Operations, Marketing, Product, Legal, Policy, and Communications teams
  9. Represent the driver and supply perspective in broader Spain and Iberia planning

What the Candidate Will Need:

  1. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in operations, strategy, marketplace, mobility, business development, or similar fields, including managerial experience
  2. Strong data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment, with the ability to understand what drives value across different sides of the marketplace
  3. Experience leading complex projects and strategic initiatives in high-growth, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments
  4. Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  5. Proficiency in Spanish and English
  6. Demonstrated combination of strategic thinking and operational excellence

---- Preferred Qualifications ----

  1. Experience managing driver, fleet, marketplace, or Taxi-related operations at scale
  2. Experience working with large external partners and driving performance through structured operating mechanisms
  3. Experience in regulated industries and navigating operational complexity
  4. Demonstrated people leadership experience, with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams
  5. Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, including supply growth, engagement, retention, and service quality levers
