About the Role
The Uber Retail commercial team is looking for an Account Manager. A key part of this is to provide a magical experience to our customers including operational excellence, visibility and good strategy to grow together throughout the year. The Account Manager role is a great opportunity to demonstrate your relationship management and sales skills. Account Managers are critical to retaining our highest value accounts, ensuring new partners are successful on our platform, and consulting partners that have the potential to grow.
As an AM, you will grow existing partnerships and build new relationships (business development) by acting as a strategic partner for our clients. Crafting JBP’s, pivotal initiatives, and innovative sales strategies to achieve Uber’s Sales Goals. In addition, you are responsible for the accurate account management between operations, merchandizing and catalogue teams.
What the Selected Candidate Will Do
- Lead commercial relationship of retail categories within Uber Eats, through annual JBP, executing the commercial strategy of multiple merchants through weekly, monthly and quarterly Business Reviews
- Work closely with catalog and operations teams to ensure the best experience for consumers.
- Make plans to improve indicators, as well as promotional plans according to the category and specialty store.
- Offer solutions to our merchants by showcasing Ads and Direct benefits
- Oversee financial tasks such as invoicing and overdue portfolio.
Basic Requirements
- Commercial experience taking strategies into action.
- English proficiency is key!
- Proficiency in Salesforce and Excel/Google Sheets, with a curiosity about reporting, data analysis, and process improvement.
- Experience in sales or trade marketing, mainly in mass consumption companies and/or retailers with proven analytic, presentation and selling skills to understand the problem and implement solution.
- Outstanding executive interpersonal skills, encouraging strong connections and teamwork.with internal/customer teams (e.g., Legal, Marketing, Operations).
- Strong Analytical Skills (Identify, Quantify and execute opportunities). Data Driven
- Market / Competition analysis and follow-up.
- Ability to balance multiple merchant management, without neglecting detail with swift execution
- Ability to prioritize, and handle time efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
- Have a positive, self-driven team-first mentality with a desire to learn
- SQL proficiency to run queries when needed and act autonomously
- Working remotely with teams from other countries
