We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our Canada Merchant Operations team who is passionate about designing and building creative solutions to our most complex analytical and operational challenges. This Senior Merchant Operations Manager role is critical in shaping the reliability and expansion of our GR (Grocery and Retail) marketplace in Canada, with a strong focus on compliance related to Restricted Items across provinces.

While embedded within our GR team, this role contributes to platform-wide growth by working cross-functionally with teams across Product, Marketing, Business Development, Finance, and the Restaurant business. The ideal candidate will be a strategic problem solver with strong analytical skills and exceptional stakeholder management experience.

This is a high-impact, hybrid role based in Toronto, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder management, operational design, and data-backed decision-making.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and execute critical projects that enhance customer experience, marketplace efficiency, and merchant reliability.

  • Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover insights and guide strategy.

  • Drive compliance efforts for restricted items across provinces.

  • Collaborate with Restaurant and Grocery teams to align platform-wide strategy and P&L initiatives.

  • Build operational processes and continuously improve them for scale.

  • Develop dashboards, define KPIs, and deliver data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional experience in operations, analytics, consulting, strategy, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups).
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment or team setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL or other analytical/querying languages.
  • Experience in a marketplace, on-demand, logistics, or gig economy platform.
  • Proven success managing complex operational processes or programs.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with compliance or policy-driven industries (e.g., alcohol, pharmacy, or regulated items).
  • Experience building dashboards and defining performance metrics.

For Canada-based roles: The base salary range for this role is CAD$114,000 per year - CAD$127,000 per year.
