Strategic Operations Manager
About the Role
Strategic Operations — Retail Mexico is responsible for building a reliable, scalable retail marketplace across Mexico.
In this role, you will identify, develop, and scale high-impact initiatives that improve marketplace reliability, fulfillment performance, cost efficiency, and the overall user experience. You will also own inventory and logistics operations, helping build the operational foundations needed to support the continued growth of the Retail business.
You'll work closely with Product, Finance, and external partners to design and scale operational solutions across the country.
What You'll Do
Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives that improve marketplace reliability, logistics performance, fulfillment efficiency, operational scalability, and overall marketplace quality.
Own business performance across key Retail initiatives by using forecasting, unit economics, and operational insights to drive measurable impact.
Manage core Retail operations across Mexico, ensuring reliable inventory management, accurate forecasting, merchant compliance, and scalable operational processes.
Identify and implement opportunities across logistics, procurement, and fulfillment to improve reliability, efficiency, and cost effectiveness at scale.
Build dashboards, reporting frameworks, and operational playbooks that enable performance tracking and support scalable execution across the Retail business.
Basic Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in marketplace operations, strategy, analytics, consulting, or a related field.
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, with demonstrated experience using data to solve complex business problems and drive operational decisions.
Basic/Intermediate SQL experience is a MUST for this role.
- Fluency in Spanish and professional proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in retail, grocery, e-commerce, marketplaces, or on-demand fulfillment environments.
Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable improvements in operational performance, marketplace reliability, or unit economics.
Experience managing business performance through P&L analysis, unit economics, and data-driven decision making.
Experience using Python, R, or other analytics tools to support business insights and operational improvements.
