About the Role

Uber is looking for a Litigation Associate Counsel to support a broad range of litigation, regulatory, and dispute-resolution matters across Mexico. This role will work closely with business, legal, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop litigation strategies, manage outside counsel, and help protect and advance Uber's operations in some of the region's most dynamic and complex markets. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on high-impact matters that directly influence Uber's ability to operate, grow, and innovate.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Develop litigation strategies, assess legal risks, and provide recommendations to business and legal leadership.
  • Support responses to regulatory investigations, government inquiries, and enforcement actions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify litigation trends, implement risk mitigation measures, and improve operational processes.
  • Prepare legal analyses, case updates, and executive-level communications regarding significant disputes and litigation risks.

Basic Qualifications

  • Law degree and admission to practice law in Mexico.
  • Approximately 5+ years of experience in house or in a firm.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing complex commercial, civil, administrative, regulatory, or constitutional litigation.
  • Experience working with and managing outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives and provide practical, solutions-oriented advice.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
