Manager, Seller Development - Southeast
About the Role
Uber Eats is looking for a Manager, Seller Development to join as a key leader within the Uber US&C Delivery Organization. This role is uniquely focused on building, developing, and scaling early-tenure sales talent through our Sales Development Team—a critical onboarding program designed to accelerate new hire ramp, coach and develop talent, and strengthen the long-term health of our SMB sales organization.
As a Sales Development Team Manager, you will lead a team of new and ramping Account Representatives and Account Executives, with a primary focus on coaching, enablement, and performance acceleration. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring sellers quickly reach productivity benchmarks and are prepared to graduate into core sales teams.
This role requires a highly organized, hands-on leader who thrives in ambiguity, operates with strong judgment, and collaborates cross-functionally with Enablement, Recruiting, Sales Ops, and senior leadership to continuously improve how we onboard and develop talent at scale.

What You'll Do
Team Management & Development:
- Recruit, onboard, and develop a team of early-tenure Account Executives within the Sales Development Team
- Serve as a player-coach, providing high-frequency, hands-on coaching to accelerate rep ramp and performance
- Establish clear performance expectations from Day 1, including activity, pipeline, and closed-won benchmarks
- Inspect and diagnose individual performance gaps, and implement targeted coaching plans to drive improvement
- Build a culture of accountability, resilience, and continuous development
- Identify top performers for graduation into core sales teams, while managing low performance decisively and quickly
- Work cross-functionally with Enablement, Talent Acquisition, and Delivery Commercial Operations to ensure sellers are set up for success
Enablement & Training:
- Partner closely with Sales Enablement to reinforce and operationalize onboarding programs (e.g., Fast Start)
- Translate training into execution by ensuring reps consistently hit leading indicators (dials, opps, CFT, CWs)
- Develop and share best practices to improve ramp speed, productivity, and conversion rates
- Act as a feedback loop to Enablement and leadership on training gaps, curriculum effectiveness, and field readiness
Execution & Performance Management:
- Own team-level performance against weekly and monthly targets, with a strong focus on leading indicators (activity, pipeline creation)
- Implement structured operating rhythms (call blocks, pipeline reviews, deal coaching, etc.) to drive consistent execution
- Leverage data (Salesforce, dashboards, activity metrics) to proactively identify risks and opportunities
- Maintain high standards for CRM hygiene, pipeline management, input management, and forecasting accuracy
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Partner with Recruiting to support hiring pipelines and ensure strong candidate calibration for Sales Development Team roles
- Collaborate with Sales Ops, Enablement, and Leadership to refine onboarding strategy and improve ramp efficiency
- Act as a key stakeholder in shaping how the organization scales talent, including headcount planning and bench strategy
- Communicate effectively upward and cross-functionally, providing visibility into performance trends, challenges, and solutions
Business Acumen:
- Develop a deep understanding of Uber Eats’ SMB sales motion, including key drivers of success (e.g., activity → pipeline → CWs)
- Use data and market insights to coach reps on how to position Uber Eats’ value proposition effectively
- Reinforce core sales fundamentals while instilling strong operational discipline
Customer Centricity:
- Ensure reps are delivering a high-quality experience to restaurant partners, even during early tenure
- Reinforce best practices across the full sales lifecycle (prospecting, discovery, pitching, closing, onboarding)
- Identify and escalate systemic issues impacting customer experience or rep effectiveness
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of full-cycle sales experience
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and ramp early-career sales talent
- Strong operational rigor with experience managing activity metrics, pipeline health, and performance tracking
- Excellent communication skills with high emotional intelligence and ability to deliver direct, actionable feedback
- Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with strong judgment and decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
- Sales management experience with a proven track record of developing and coaching high-performing teams
- Experience leading onboarding, ramp, or training-focused sales teams (or equivalent coaching/development experience)
- Strong cross-functional collaboration experience (Enablement, Recruiting, Sales Ops, etc.)
- Track record of improving team performance through structured coaching and process implementation
- Experience managing both inside and outside sales motions
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and sales performance dashboards
- Passion for developing talent and building scalable systems for long-term organizational success
For Miami, FL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$107,000 per year - USD$119,000 per year.
You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
