Sr. Strategy & Planning Associate
Please note that we are in the process of implenting a new ATS (Applicant Tracking System). While you may still apply to roles at Uber, your application will not be viewed or processed until July 5.
The Role
The Global Strategy and Planning team's core mission is to unlock growth for the Delivery business by driving strategic alignment and executional excellence across all regions. As a Sr Strategy & Planning Associate, you will own the analytical and strategic backbone of how the Delivery leadership team measures performance, makes decisions, and tells its story — from Monthly Business Reviews to Board of Directors presentations. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for someone who combines rigorous analytical thinking with the ability to independently structure complex problems and deliver refined, executive-ready output.
What You’ll Do
Leadership Forums & Executive Presence
Drive preparation and delivery of critical leadership forums — including Monthly Business Reviews, Board of Directors presentations and Leadership Summits — for the Delivery organization. Go beyond packaging data: bring a point of view on what the business needs to hear, anticipate leadership questions, and ensure every forum drives a clear decision or action.
Business Performance & Deep Diagnostics
Define, build, and maintain the performance monitoring infrastructure for Global Delivery. Go deep on the data — identify not just what is happening but why, separating signal from noise and surfacing non-obvious insights that are directly relevant to senior leadership priorities. Independently scope and execute complex analyses across large datasets, translating findings into actionable recommendations with clear business implications.
Strategic Insights & Communication
Develop board-ready narratives, written memos, and presentations that distill complex, multi-dimensional business performance into clear, compelling stories. Independently manage the full arc from problem framing to recommendation, with the judgment to know what matters and the craft to communicate it precisely.
Senior Stakeholder Management
Operate as a trusted thought partner to senior and executive-level stakeholders across Delivery leadership, Finance, Commercial, Operations, and Product. Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, resolve conflicting priorities across functions, and maintain alignment on business priorities and planning milestones — often without formal authority and across complex organizational structures.
Structured Problem Solving & Independent Ownership
Take on ambiguous, high-priority strategic problems and drive them to resolution independently. Structure the problem, identify the right analytical approach, align stakeholders, and deliver outputs that move decisions forward. Bring a consulting-grade rigor to problem decomposition while staying grounded in operational realities and execution speed.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Lead — not just participate in — cross-functional initiatives spanning commercial, operations, product, finance, and regional teams. Proactively identify dependencies, broker alignment, and hold teams accountable to shared timelines and outcomes. Represent the Global S&P team with credibility and authority in senior cross-functional forums.
What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: 4+ years in tech strategy, management consulting, investment banking, or business analytics.
- Tech Skills: Advanced SQL proficiency (scoping and optimizing complex queries across large datasets).
- Leadership: Proven ability to independently structure ambiguous problems and present LT-ready deliverables.
Bonus Points:
- Direct experience presenting to or preparing materials for the C-suite.
- Experience using AI tools to automate workflows and elevate strategic communication.
- Experience navigating multi-regional planning in a fast-paced environment.
