Duties:                         Design, execute, and analyze large-scale experiments within the Uber Eats and Uber Rides apps. Perform analytical deep dives to explore topics including conversion funnels, shopping journeys, personalization & ranking, and user retention. Design frameworks for optimizing tradeoffs across competing business objectives to maximize platform growth. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, and other cross-functional partners to understand user behavior and guide future product strategy. Present findings and recommendations to senior technical and business leaders. May telecommute.

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Position requires 3 years of experience in:

1. Experimental design and statistical analysis for A/B testing;
2. Causal inference and quasi experiment;
3. SQL and data modeling;
4. Python/R for exploratory data analysis;
5. Funnel optimization and user segmentation, with experience extracting user behavior insights from large datasets;
6. Data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Matplotlib);
7. Machine learning model development;
8. Designing and implementing scalable data processing workflows using Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala) or Hadoop.
