Growth Strategy Manager, Uber Direct, Czech Republic
About the Role
Alongside Uber Eats, we are launching Uber Direct in the Czech Republic. Uber Direct is our white-label delivery service that enables merchants to offer fast, same-day delivery from their own websites, apps, or stores with no need for customers to use the Uber app.
You will own the initial Go-to-Market (GTM) commercial strategy (pipeline creation and sales) for the market. As we launch our first merchants, you will transition to focus on scaling operations and driving the long-term commercial health of our partnerships. You will be the vital link that translates high-level digital strategy into scalable, on-the-ground delivery operations.
Success requires an intrinsic drive to solve tough problems and the ability to influence stakeholders with competing priorities. You must stay steady under pressure, using data to navigate ambiguity and drive results. You will build deep expertise in the local delivery ecosystem and help define the standard for how the Czech market experiences on-demand last-mile delivery.
What You Will Do
Sales & GTM: Close high-impact partnerships with the right merchants at the right commercials. You will work alongside our Restaurant and Retail teams to identify the ideal GTM approach and win our first foundation accounts.
Account Management: Drive growth, operational excellence, and financial sustainability for live partners. You will ensure the end-to-end experience is seamless and reliable, working with our scaled Operations team to resolve and improve service levels.
Financial & Operational Efficiency: Build long-term relationships as the main point of contact across merchant organizations (from Store Managers to HQ), focusing on optimizing commercials and streamlining logistics.
Data Analysis: Quantify everything. You will utilize an analytical approach to understand the performance of initiatives, ensuring you prioritize tasks with the highest ROI.
Strategic Proactivity: Think fast and move swiftly in high-pressure environments. This is a rare opportunity to launch a market from scratch, pilot new operating models, and create playbooks that will be scaled across Uber globally.
Basic Qualifications
Experience: 2+ years of customer or client-facing experience (ideally in account management, sales, or consulting) with a proven track record of achieving business targets.
Problem Solving: Critical thinking skills with the ability to challenge the status quo and identify the root causes of complex problems.
Analytical Rigor: Comfortable with data analysis and spreadsheets. You possess a data-driven decision-making mentality and sound business judgment.
Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of how organizations work. You can build compelling sales pitches, negotiate deals, and create creative commercial strategies.
Communication & Influence: Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and influence diverse stakeholders across various levels of a business.
Project Management: Ability to create meticulously detailed execution plans for large-scale projects (e.g., launching new products or onboarding enterprise partners) and deliver them despite ambiguity.
Autonomous Mindset: A self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity. You are eager to learn, possess a #gogetit attitude, and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
Languages: Native-level fluency in Czech and professional fluency in English are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Knowledge: Prior experience or deep understanding of the Last-Mile Delivery or logistics space.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for independent data extraction and analysis.
