Paris taxis now available on Uber
To give you the best possible experience, Uber is adding a mobility option: taxis are now available from the app. With Uber Taxi, it's easy to find a taxi when you need one.
How does the Uber taxi service work in Paris?
It’s very simple: in just a few steps, order your taxi and benefit from a simplified pickup service with access to bus lanes, at the taximeter rate.
Request Uber Taxi
Open the Uber app and enter your destination in the “Where are you going?” box. Check that the pickup and destination addresses are correct, review the price range estimate,* then select Uber Taxi. Once you’re matched with a driver, you’ll see their photo and vehicle details, as well as their position on the map.
Start your trip
Before you get onboard, check that the vehicle details match those shown in the app and that the driver activates the taximeter. Your driver already knows your destination and the quickest route to get there, but you can always ask them to take another route.
Arrive at your destination
The driver will enter the price calculated by the taximeter, which will automatically be debited from your payment method registered on the App, unless you have selected cash payment. Don't forget to rate your trip, so that all Uber users can enjoy safe and pleasant rides. If you wish, you can also tip the driver in cash or directly via the App.

Taxis requested with the Uber app take a maximum of 4 riders.
- I forgot something in a taxi I requested with the Uber app. What should I do?
Open the Uber app and go to the Account section. Choose Trips, then select the ride during which you forgot an item. Then choose Find a lost item and follow the instructions displayed in the app.
- Can I travel with my pet or baby seat in a taxi booked on the Uber app?

The price range displayed in the Uber app is an estimate. The price may vary according to the route taken by your driver, the duration of the trip, the day of the week and time of day, your pickup/dropoff locations, and any applicable surcharges.
**The price of the trip may be adjusted if the trip is significantly longer than expected, in particular if the actual pickup and/or dropoff locations are different from those indicated when the ride was ordered, in the event of a change of route, or if the trip has taken much longer than originally anticipated.
