Electronic invoicing in France: what this means for your invoices

Invoices issued for your business trips will need to comply with new e-invoicing and e-reporting rules. From 1 September 2026, some suppliers may already issue electronic invoices that comply with these rules, and this will gradually be extended to more suppliers until September 2027, without changing how you access your invoices in the app.

Your personal trips (B2C)

For personal trips, you do not need to take any action. You will continue to receive your receipts and PDF invoices in the app and by email as you do today. Any B2C e‑reporting obligations are handled via Uber’s (on behalf of the Drivers) technical systems and do not change your in‑app experience.

Your business trips (B2B)

If you use Uber for business travel (for example, for expenses or trips billed to a company):

• invoices will need to comply with the new French B2B e‑invoicing rules;
• in some cases, they may be routed directly to your company’s electronic invoicing platform;
• the format of your invoices may change (additional mandatory information such as your company’s SIREN, etc.), while still being available as PDFs in the app.
