The ride options shown on this page are a mere sample of services you can hire through Uber, and some of them might not be available where you use the app. If you check your city’s web page or look in the app, you will be able to see what types of rides you can request from it.
Easy to book
Update the Uber app to the latest version. Open the app, switch to Bike and Scooter view then follow the directions to book the nearest scooter.
The feeling of electric
Experience the fun of an electric scooter—when you use the accelerator, you’ll feel the boost.
Ride smart. Ride safe.
We recommend that you wear a helmet, follow the local traffic laws, yield to pedestrians and be careful with your speed. Avoid riding scooters down steep hills.
How to ride
Reserve or walk up
Switch to Bike and Scooter view in the Uber app and reserve a nearby electric scooter, or simply walk up to the vehicle to get started.
Scan the QR code on the handlebars to unlock, and go. We encourage you to wear a helmet.
While you ride
To brake anytime, squeeze the lever down on the left handlebar. To go, press the lever down gently on the right handlebar. Start slow—the scooter has zip.
Make sure you park in the correct area shown on the map in your app—and outside any city no-parking areas. Don’t block walkways, ramps, or any areas that need to be used by people with accessibility needs. Consult your city government’s website for rules on where scooters may be operated.
Lime Scooters also available in the Uber app*
Make sure you have the latest version of your Uber app. Simply open the app to find an electric scooter near you. Scan the QR code using your Uber app, or manually enter the 6-digit vehicle identification number.
