FAQ

  • What are the key features of cover?

Partner Injury Protection provides cover for specific events that occur while a Partner is On-Trip. The key features are listed below. For key details please read this information from Chubb Insurance.

    1. Emergency medical treatment: If an accident happens On-Trip, this cover reimburses you for emergency medical treatment costs you have incurred in the first 48 hours following the accident (e.g. X-ray, operations, medicines) up to a capped sum. In addition, this cover reimburses ambulance service costs and provides you with an immediate small lump sum payment to cover your basic expenses following the accident.
    2. Death and final payments: In the unfortunate event that you die as a result of an accident On-Trip, your dependents or heirs will benefit from a lump sum payment. They will also obtain an additional lump sum amount which can be used as you deem fit.
    3. Permanent Disability payments: In the unfortunate event that you suffer a permanent disability as a result of an accident On-Trip, you will benefit from a lump sum payment. The amount depends on the severity of the disability, as determined by Chubb Insurance.
    4. Daily confinement payment: If you are hospitalized for more than 24 hours you will receive a daily payment for up to 30 days for each day that you have to remain in the hospital. This is non-medical expense cover as a result of hospitalisation and not a substitute for medical aid cover.
    5. Daily Payment Benefit (injury): If you are hospitalized for more than 48 hours as a result of an accident that happened On-Trip and are thereafter unable to work because of those injuries, you will receive a daily payment for up to 30 days whilst you are medically certified by a Doctor as unfit to work.
