The most important part of every trip is your safety.
Here are some road safety tips to help get you to your destination safely.
Respect road rules
Follow speed limits & abide by the law
Check your tyres (including your spare if you are using a car)
Tyres are critical to your safety. If you have a tyre burst, you not only endanger yourself but other road users
Don’t type & drive
Do not drive under the influence of alcohol/drugs
Do not drive if you have taken medication that may impact your ability to drive
Pay attention to the road and take a break when you are tired
By law and for your safety, motorbike users should always wear a helmet
If you are driving a car, always buckle up
Keep your driving licence with you at all times
Drive slowly and be cautious when there is low visibility or poor road conditions
Use indicators for every turn or lane change
Show extra caution in intersections – most crashes occur when a driver fails to see a motorcyclist and turns in front of a motorcycle
