Thousands of tourists flock to Universal Studios every day. And with designated parking lots for rideshare vehicles, it’s easy for drivers to cash in on the action.
Pickup tips for drivers
Once you arrive at the first-in, first-out (FIFO) zone, you will automatically be placed in a virtual queue as long as you are online. When a rider requests a trip from Universal Studios, the request will go to the vehicle in the area that has been waiting the longest, rather than the vehicle that is closest to the rider.
If you’re the second driver to enter the area, you’ll be the second to receive a trip request. If you’re the fifth to enter the area, you’ll be the fifth to receive a trip request.
You will no longer be able to accept rides at Universal Studios unless you are in the Uber designated parking lot.
After you’ve accepted a request, pick your rider up at the Guest Drop-Off Zone.
Note: The I-4 Eastbound onramp at Universal Blvd is closed for several months. When taking trips from Universal Studios, you’ll continue to pick up your rider from the Guest Drop-Off Zone, then follow the signs to one of the alternate routes that will take you to I-4 Eastbound. These road closures will not affect the pickup and dropoff locations at Universal Studios.

Dropoff tips for drivers
When you receive a request from a rider headed to Universal Studios, simply drop them off at the Guest Drop-Off Zone.
During large events there may be signage posted allowing you to drop off riders in the valet lot. Pickups and dropoffs on Universal Blvd are prohibited.
Reminder
You will lose your place in line if you cancel a trip on a rider, go offline, sign off your Uber app, switch vehicles, or leave the queueing area. You will not lose your place in line if a rider cancels on you or if you drive around within the FIFO wait area.

Universal Studios FAQs
What if I receive requests for uberX and other products (e.g. uberXL)?
You will receive requests on a first-in, first-out basis within the FIFO zone. For example, if your vehicle is eligible for both UberX and UberXL trips, you will automatically receive both types of requests depending on which request comes first when you are at the front of the queue.
