Halloween is one of the busiest nights of the year for Uber driver-partners. Riders will be dressed up and looking for safe and reliable rides throughout the evening and we want to help you have everything you need for a seamless and stress-free driving experience.
Halloween driver tips
Tipping
Zombies, ghosts, and goblins can show their appreciation by tipping you directly in the app. At the end of every trip, riders are asked if they’d like to add an additional tip on top of the standard fare.
Long trip notification
Is Frankenstein’s trip back to the castle further than you’re willing to drive? Don’t fret. If a rider requests a trip that is longer than 45 minutes, you’ll be alerted before accepting the trip so you can plan your evening more effectively.
Lost item return fee
You’ll be rewarded if you reunite a princess with the slipper she left in your backseat. If a rider accidentally leaves a piece of their costume, or any other personal items behind, they will be charged a $15 lost item return fee for its return. This fee goes directly to you, the driver, to compensate you for the extra time spent returning the item.
Paid wait time
Good things come to those who wait. You’ll earn a per-minute rate starting 2 minutes after you arrive for riders running late.
With Halloween falling on a weekday this year, we expect there to be increased traffic the weekend before as well as the night of. These tips can help ensure you make the most of the increased earning opportunities on one of the most colorful nights of the year.
