Moving what matters in Tampa Bay

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect Tampa Bay, we’re focused on helping our community move what matters.
 
We’ve committed to provide 10 million rides and food deliveries to healthcare workers and people in need, free of charge, across the world. We stand ready to work with community groups, hospitals and others across Florida to move what matters most to them. Organizations, healthcare providers and governmental entities looking for support with rides or food deliveries can submit their request directly at t.uber.com/impact2020.
 
Below you can find a summary of the programs available in Tampa Bay. We’ll continue to update this site with new details as they become available.
 
Helping First Responders
 
We’ve committed to providing free meals through Uber Eats to first responders and healthcare workers. To date, nearly 7,000 meals have been distributed in the Tampa Bay area including meals provided to All Children’s Hospital.
 
To help move those on the frontlines, we have also made free JUMP electric scooter rides (up to 30 min.) available to employees of Tampa’s healthcare and first response organizations. Officials and organizations interested in learning more about our JUMP electric scooter offers can request information at tampa-social-impact@uber.com 
 
Supporting Our Community
 
Uber Eats has teamed up with Feeding Tampa Bay as they now shift all of their distribution model to delivery, drive-thru and to-go meal options. This partnership will provide meals and groceries to some of Tampa Bay’s most vulnerable populations during COVID-19. Seniors, many of whom are isolated in their homes and unable to access groceries and meals they needy, can now receive Feeding Tampa Bay services through the Uber Eats delivery platform in Tampa and St. Petersburg.  
  
Helping Tampa Bay Earners
 
Through Uber’s Work Hub, drivers may find new essential work, whether with Uber or another company. During this challenging time, we’ve teamed up with companies that are currently hiring, like Domino’s, Shipt, CareGuide, and others, to get drivers connected to jobs. We’re also including links to job postings for other companies. We’ll continue to add new partnerships and listings to the Work Hub.
