Epcot Center: Instructions for drivers

To help manage the large volume of requests at Epcot Center, Epcot and Uber have worked together to establish a temporary first-in, first-out queuing system.

Once you arrive at the first-in, first-out (FIFO) zone, you will automatically be placed in a virtual queue as long as you are online. When a rider requests a trip from Epcot Center, the request will go to the vehicle in the area that has been waiting the longest, rather than the vehicle that is closest to the rider.

If you’re the second driver to enter the area, you’ll be the second to receive a trip request. If you’re the fifth to enter the area, you’ll be the fifth to receive a trip request.

To accept rides at Epcot Center you must wait in the Uber designated parking lot.

After you’ve accepted a request, pick your rider in the southeast corner of the Journey Parking lot.

The designated dropoff location for riders going to the EPCOT Center is the southeast corner of the Journey parking lot.

Due to COVID-19, Walt Disney World has reopened with drop-off restrictions prior to park opening times to minimize crowd sizes at entrance gates.  

The EPCOT Center opens at 11:00 AM daily.  If you arrive more than 30 minutes prior to park opening time, expect delays in accessing the designated rideshare drop-off location.  

Despite the delays, drivers and riders should only end trips at the designated location to avoid being cited by law-enforcement. 

After 10:30 AM, regular drop-off location access will begin.

You will lose your place in line if you cancel a trip on a rider, go offline, sign off your Uber app, switch vehicles, or leave the queueing area. You will not lose your place in line if a rider cancels on you or if you drive around within the FIFO wait area.

What if I receive requests for UberX and other products (e.g. UberXL)?

You will receive requests on a first-in, first-out basis within the FIFO zone. For example, if your vehicle is eligible for both UberX and UberXL trips, you will automatically receive both types of requests depending on which request comes first when you are at the front of the queue.
