180 Days of Change: Earn more for your time on the road

In this month of 180 Days of Change, we’re improving your earning power to make the most of the time you spend on the road. Whether it’s a long pickup, late cancellation, or extended wait time, we’re making sure you’re covered.*

You’ll start earning standard time and distance rates after a period of time on your way to the longest pickups in your area. You’ll earn this long pickup fee in addition to your standard trip fare.

We’re updating our cancellation policy to protect you from last-minute cancellations on long pickups. When riders cancel, you’ll earn the greater of the standard cancellation fee or standard time and distance rates for travel toward the pickup location.

To better compensate you for your patience, you’ll earn more per minute if you have to wait longer than 2 minutes when picking up a rider.

You shouldn’t have to pay tolls when you’re on the way to pick up a rider. We’ll soon incorporate tolls into your fares, and we’ve updated our technology to avoid matching you with a rider on the other side of a toll.

Like the introduction of cancellation fees, tipping, and POOL pickup fees, we’re continually looking to get you more for your time and effort.
