We are deeply saddened by the loss of a delivery partner on October 13 and our hearts go out to his family and friends who are mourning his loss. Uber Eats together with our logistics partner have offered financial assistance to the family to support them through this time. 


We are highly committed to making delivering on the platform a safe experience for the communities we serve. We are working closely with our licensed logistics partners in all cities where we operate to ensure that the relevant commercial insurance coverage is available to every delivery partner while using Uber Eats.  We will also continue to engage relevant experts and authorities to raise awareness amongst delivery partners on road safety and continue to implement features on the Uber Eats app which improve safety for delivery partners and our broader community. We are keen to have constructive discussions with government and other relevant stakeholders to shape policies that protect the interest of delivery partners and provide access to opportunities in the new economy.
