How Does CASH Work

  1. Set your pickup location.
  2. Before confirming your request, select ‘CASH’ as your payment option. You must select ‘CASH’ prior to requesting a ride.
  3. Request a ride.
  4. Before you get out, pay the exact amount shown to you & your driver – No haggling required!

How to Enable Cash Payment

PRO TIPS

  • CASH option is available for trips in Eastern Province, Riyadh, and Jeddah.
  • CASH is being introduced as an additional payment method. You can always choose to pay with your credit card.
  • If you intend to use Uber in other cities (e.g. Bahrain, Dubai), please add a credit card to your account.
  • Not everyone will see the cash option as we are still testing and rolling it out slowly.
  • Give the driver the exact amount for your trip. (Drivers will keep any overpaid amounts, it will not be added as credit).
  • Your total fare will show on your driver’s device once the trip ends.
  • You will not be able to pay cash on credit card trips.
  • You will not be able to switch payment method from cash to credit card or vice versa during or after the trip.
  • You will not be able to make part payments on cash trips with your credit card and vice versa.
  • Fare adjustments are not possible for cash rides.
