Local Treats by Saudi Women Entrepreneurs

As part of our ongoing series celebrating the contribution of women entrepreneurs to Saudi society, this month we are bringing to you not only their stories, but also delivering their impressive creations to your door.

On December 20th, we are delivering in Riyadh some of Honey Bunch Sweets’ creations right to your doorstep, at the tap of an app. Here’s how:

It was always a dream of Maram Alarifi to start a business built on her passion for baking. She discovered this passion when she was a little girl eager to learn all the recipes her mother and aunts would prepare at home. Soon, she became confident enough in her skills to start experimenting with her own recipes.

Maram started Honey Bunch Sweets by selling her pastries on social media, mostly catering to some family members and relatives. Slowly, she began expanding her business and she now has two other people helping her cater to her growing base of customers: “We consider our customers as our partners. We treat them as friends and try to do our best to deliver high quality products to them.”

Armed with determination, Maram’s future plans for Honey Bunch Sweets are ambitious: “I dream of selling my products to restaurants, hotels, cafes, schools and pastry shops in local and other Gulf markets.”
