Figure 1. On the initial landing page, Menu Maker presents a high-level overview of the current menu’s structure, complete with hours of availability, categories, and items.
Figure 2. Clicking “Items” in the top navigation header leads to the entire list of items for the restaurant. The list can be filtered or sorted depending on the user’s needs. From this page, users can click an individual item, which leads to a more detailed page allowing users to modify that item.
Figure 3. After the user clicks “Pancakes” in the item list, they are taken to an item page, where they can edit various properties of the item, such as its description and price.
Figure 4. In this particular menu, fries as a standalone item cost $4.00.
Figure 5. In the same menu as Figure 4, fries an eater selects as a side cost $0.00, despite being the same item in the data model.
Figure 6. When a restaurant-partner attempts to change the default price of an item, Menu Maker notifies them that the price of the item will remain the current price until changes are approved by Uber. Depending on the adjustment, a pop-up box appears if the user proceeds to change the price. This box notifies them that Uber Eats’ approval is required. At that point, the restaurant partner can hit the green button to request approval or cancel the change. The price of the item will remain the same until the Uber Eats team approves the request.
Figure 7. Since the “Chicken sandwich” (circled in blue) has pending changes (as shown in Figure 6), “Choose a sandwich” is locked, represented by the lock symbol to the left (circled in red). This lock symbol signifies that restaurant-partners cannot change anything about “Choose a sandwich” until the pending changes to “Chicken sandwich” are approved.
Figure 8. Based on the link URL, the user either gets taken to Menu Editor (within the same app as Restaurant Manager) or Menu Maker (a completely separate app) when they click the link.
