Finally, Doha has a fast and reliable transportation option for residents and visitors alike.

Sebastian Soria claims the first Uber in Doha

Sebastian Soria was the first to grab an Uber in Qatar. The Uruguayan, naturalized Qatari football player had finished up his round at Doha Golf Club, fired up the Uber app, and was delighted to see an Uber roll up within minutes. He told us he now has a keen eye for goal, and a keener eye for Uber!

We also happened to catch Abdul Aziz Dalloul grabbing one of the first Ubers in Qatar, as he was heading from Torch Tower at Aspire Zone to a TedX talk. He travels through Qatar, the UAE, Saudi and Bahrain for his motivational speeches, and was thrilled to know he can get around Doha in the slickest of ways. In fact, he said his motivation to motivate was higher than normal today knowing Uber was around!

Mr.Q rolls with Uber in Qatar!

Minutes later Mr Q, heard about Uber being in town, fired up the app and requested a ride to start his preparations for the National Day. His site has been an inspiration to many, and Uber is excited to be a part of Qatar’s landscape.
