After two years of pandemic living, 2022 is looking like a sea change. One of the busiest travel seasons is upon us, a record-breaking number of weddings will be held this year, and climate is at the center of the global conversation.
At Uber, we’re always innovating to meet your ever-changing needs in an ever-changing world. With our new suite of products that help you go anywhere and get anything, the world is in your hands.
Ready for your next getaway? Uber Travel lets you reserve rides for each leg of your itinerary in one fell swoop. Just connect your Gmail account and we’ll do the rest, organizing your hotel, flight, and restaurant reservations all in one place for a stress-free travel experience. The best part? You’ll earn 10% back in Uber Cash for each Reserve ride you book with Uber Travel—because it should pay to plan ahead. Uber Travel is available today in the US and in the coming weeks in Canada. And starting this summer in the UK, you’ll be able to book trains, coaches and car rentals, too.
Whether it’s for a wedding, a wine tasting, or a work event, it’s about to get easier than ever to book a bus for your next group gathering. Uber Charter lets you book a party bus, passenger van, coach bus and more directly in the Uber app. No research, no stress, no surprises—and, as always, we’ll show you pricing upfront. Uber Charter is launching across the US this summer. Head to your app and tap the Charter icon to be notified when it’s available in your city.
Vouchers for Events
You asked, and we’re delivering! From weddings to corporate functions, Vouchers for Events makes it easy to cover the cost of rides for your guests—a personal touch that makes everyone feel like a VIP. Simply enter your event details, the maximum amount that you want to cover, and share your unique code with your guests. Guests will determine their own pickup and dropoff at a time and location that works best for them, and you’ll avoid overpaying for unused seats. You can also treat guests, in person or from afar, to Vouchers for Uber Eats. Vouchers are also available through Uber for Business so companies can reward employees, offer special experiences for their customers, and more.
Uber Comfort Electric
As part of Uber’s global commitment to becoming a zero-emissions mobility platform by 2040, we’re continuing to take steps to help you go electric. Last year, we announced a partnership with Hertz to make up to 50,000 Teslas available for drivers to rent by 2023. Now, with more electric vehicles on the road in the US than ever before, we’re excited to introduce Comfort Electric, our newest way for you to get around town in style and be a part of the climate solution. It’s as simple as tap a button and request a ride in a premium EV like a Tesla or Polestar. Comfort Electric is now available in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Dubai, with more cities to come soon.
EV Hub and Charging Map
Helping earners go electric is core to our goal of becoming the cleanest mobility platform in the world. That’s why we’ve built an EV Hub in the Uber Driver app, a one-stop shop where they can get information and incentives to join the electric revolution, and even compare the cost of ownership of an EV with a non-EV.
Additionally, we want to make charging easier for drivers. So we’re adding a Charging Map directly to the Driver app to show them where the nearest EV chargers are located, what the charging speeds are, and navigation to get there.
For the moments you don’t have an extra hand, we’re bringing you a new way to order your food. We’ve integrated Google Assistant into Uber Eats so you can get your favorite meal, snack, and other necessities simply by using your voice. Just say “OK Google,” and ask your phone to order a meal from a restaurant on Uber Eats. Voice Ordering will start rolling out globally in English this summer with more languages to come.
Uber Eats at Stadiums
Want to grab a bite at the game but also watch every play? Now you don’t have to choose. Our in-venue ordering on Uber Eats and Postmates allows you to place your order from concessions at the stadium and skip the line to pick up your food when it’s ready. Uber Eats at Stadiums is available in LA at Dodger Stadium and Angel Stadium; in New York at Yankee Stadium; in Washington, D.C. at Capital One Arena; in Houston at Minute Maid Park; in San Jose at PayPal Park; and in Rennes, France at Roazhon Park, with more to come around the world.
We’re introducing two autonomous delivery programs in Los Angeles. Serve Robotics’ friendly sidewalk robots offer short-range deliveries with easy handoffs. Motional builds all-electric autonomous vehicle fleets designed to safely navigate city streets. These pilots mark our continued work to bring safe, reliable, and affordable autonomous technology to merchants and consumers everywhere.
Our membership program, Uber One, brings together the best of the platform and helps members save across Uber rides and Uber Eats. In the US, we’re launching new perks for members with partners including Marriott Bonvoy®, CLEAR, and obé Fitness. Join today and get $30 off your next delivery plus your first month of membership free, if you are eligible. To join, click on Uber One in your account page, then tap on Promotions and enter code goget2022. We’re also expanding Uber One across the globe to Mexico, Germany, and the UK with more countries to follow soon.
The world is in your hands. Go get it.
