Let’s get cars off Manila’s Roads for the #100DayChallenge

Since launching on June 15th, uberPOOL has started a Ridesharing Revolution. With more than 73,000 people sharing their rides and getting cars off Manila congested roads, we’ve already saved 578,000 kilometers of travel (that’s equal to more than 24,400 trips along the entire length of EDSA).

And if that isn’t reason enough to share your ride on uberPOOL, this Friday, August 5th, we’re taking it a step further. In line with the #100DayChallenge, you can enjoy ₱100 uberPOOL trips around areas of Metro Manila, anytime from 6AM to 12MN with the code 100DAYCHALLENGE. That means wherever you need to be this Friday, book an uberPOOL, and let us take you there for just ₱100 (or less).

Here are some examples of the trips you enjoy this Friday, to get fare savings of 50% and more (vs uberX):

  • Commonwealth to Ortigas Center: P235 and up on uberX, P100 on uberPOOL
  • Katipunan to Makati: P260 and up on uberX, Php 100 on uberPOOL
  • Greenhills to BGC: P200 and up on uberX, Php 100 on uberPOOL

HOW IT WORKS

  • Apply the promo code 100DAYCHALLENGE on the Promotions menu on your Uber App
  • Set your pickup location and enter your destination under the uberX option
  • Be sure to tap left on the uberPOOL option! Anywhere you pick within the coverage area will quote you a maximum of ₱100
  • Choose how many seats you need (1 or 2) and tap Request Shared Car
  • You might share your ride, so as courtesy to your co-rider, your driver will only wait a maximum of 2 minutes
  • At the end of the trip, you will be charged a maximum fare of ₱100 (if your fare is less than ₱100, you’ll pay the lower price)

MECHANICS

  • Promotion is valid on all uberPOOL rides only within the coverage area above on Friday, August 5th from 6am – 12MN
  • Each request can have a maximum of 2 riders per pick up. You will be matched with another requester, for up to 4 riders in total in the car
  • Limited to 2 uberPOOL rides per rider
  • If your fare is less than ₱100, you’ll pay the cost of that ride

With more people in fewer cars and less congestion on Manila’s roads, this is one revolution where everybody wins.
