Good sorts around the country are all doing their bit to raise money this Red Nose Day to help Cure Kids fund vital child health research – and we are also getting involved to support this iconic Kiwi appeal.

Red Nose Day takes place on 28 September, and over the past weeks we’ve been handing out red car noses to Uber driver-partners visiting our Greenlight Hubs in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

Participating driver-partners have been attaching the red noses to their cars to show their support for Cure Kids’ largest annual fundraiser, supporting children in need across New Zealand.

This week, Uber riders across Aotearoa will also be encouraged to donate to this excellent cause. Riders will see a notification in their app, and simply need to text ‘Nose’ to 933 to donate $3 to Cure Kids. These much-needed funds will support New Zealand’s largest funder of child health research outside of the government.

Amanda Gilmore, New Zealand Country Manager, Uber says: “Red Nose Day encourages New Zealanders to support children in need and their whānau. We’re so pleased to be participating in Red Nose Day this year and help Cure Kids – so we hope riders will get behind us and donate to this important cause.”

Frances Benge Cure Kids CEO adds: “It’s so fantastic to see our red noses back on the roads this year, and we’re very grateful for the enthusiasm and engagement from Uber and their driver-partners in getting behind this year’s campaign to raise funds for Cure Kids during our Red Nose Day Appeal.”
