Do you try new things on the menu, or stick to favourites?

Whatever your answer, as of today eaters and restaurants in New Plymouth, Nelson and Queenstown will have more choice than ever before with the Uber Eats platform now live in these neighbourhoods, featuring popular restaurants and a few they might not have sampled yet.

The trio of towns are in good company, with thirteen cities across the country now showcasing the best local restaurants and international brands on the Uber Eats platform – all available at the click of a button.

From lunchtime today eaters in Nelson will see – The Big Kahuna, Morrisons, Bunga Kraitong, Kebab Masters, Flavours of Cairo Richmond and more.

While those keen for a snack in Queenstown will uncover – Boliwood, Frankton Pizzeria,  Burger King, @thai, Bombay Palace, McDonalds and Hikaria Sushi Bar.

And New Plymouth’s lineup features the likes of Laughing Buddha, Elixir Cafe & Catering, Radio Malabar and Mad Mex New Plymouth.

We’re offering locals the chance to celebrate the arrival of more convenience with a chance to get $15 off their first order using the code EATSLAUNCHNZ (more on how to order below*).

While locals are going to enjoy an already mouthwatering restaurant lineup in these three cities, we anticipate more to follow given the flexibility and economic potential platform technology can bring at a much needed time.

A new report released from the New Zealand Institute of Economic Research (NZIER) reveals restaurants that partnered with Uber Eats saw average take home revenues of nearly $60,000 across 2019 from sales through the platform.

That’s a windfall restaurants should be free to explore for themselves, so unlike some competitors we’re offering no lock in contracts, the chance to access demand-driving technology, 24/7 support for both restaurants and consumers, the ability to access a network of delivery partners and a commitment to ongoing marketing investment from Uber Eats to help our partners grow.

Today is a win for restaurants and residents that value choice and convenience, so naturally we’re delighted to bring the magic of Uber Eats to more of New Zealand.
