Uber Eats is bringing added convenience closer for a quarter of a million Kiwis
Written byThis morning Uber Eats will notch up a new milestone. We’ll hit ten cities on the platform in New Zealand, with Napier & Hastings, Rotorua and Palmerston North the latest to feature on Uber Eats.
To celebrate ten cities in Aotearoa, we will turn Uber Eats on in these vibrant cities at ten in the morning today. It’s a celebration of the convenience and choice now available to even more Kiwis. From local favourites to big name brands – all available at the click of a button.
We’re excited to welcome restaurants from across these new cities to our growing New Zealand community and to help them reach new customers.
Local restaurants will be able to connect with the Uber Eats platform in a way that best suits them – driving demand into their restaurants through pick up orders, or getting meals to front doors across their neighbourhood – either by using a restaurant’s existing delivery network or by plugging into the Uber Eats marketplace to connect with a delivery partner close by.
And we’re bringing you some of the most popular local restaurants.
From day one users will see Cafe Express, Chinatown and Portofino all on the app or web in Palmerston North.
While Hell Pizza, The Tumeric, Bareknuckle BBQ and No.5 Cafe & Larder are among the headliners in Napier & Hastings.
And El Mexicano Zapata Express, Saigon 60s, Giovanni’s Italian Restaurant, El Burrito, and Guidough’s Bakery will keep those in Rotorua in good culinary company.
From today nearly a quarter of a million Kiwis in these cities will now be able to earn Uber Rewards points with every single order they make on Uber Eats or every ride they take on the Uber platform.
We’re offering locals the chance to celebrate the arrival of more convenience with a chance to get $15 off their first order using the code EATSLAUNCHJULYNZ
