Guidelines for preparing and submitting orders – Managing contactless delivery
19 October 2020 / NetherlandsHygiene when preparing an order
- Systematically clean and disinfect all surfaces and utensils.
- Wash your hands regularly or wear gloves when preparing an order.
- Keep 1.5 meters distance at all times, including in the kitchen.
- Pack each order carefully and seal the delivery bag tightly so that the food cannot fall out of the bag and come into contact with the delivery partner.
- Personnel showing signs of illness should be sent home immediately to avoid contamination of personnel and eaters.
Give an order contactless to the delivery partner
- Create a clear separation between restaurant staff and the delivery partners, for example by means of tape, plastic or tables.
- Clearly indicate in the restaurant where the delivery partner can wait for the order and ensure that a distance of 1.5 meters between delivery partners is possible. In many cases, this means that they have to wait outside.
- Do not hand over the order to the delivery partner. Place the order at a safe distance, so that the delivery partner can pick up the order themselfs.
Important in-app measures
- The number of waiting delivery partners for a restaurant is automatically limited to prevent group formation.
- Delivery partners receive in-app messages during the delivery process to remind them of the safety guidelines.
- Via the in-app, users can select the option “Leave at the door”.
If delivery partners do not follow the guidelines, you can report this by sending an email to restaurants.nederland@uber.com. We will take all necessary measures.
