“I never used an android phone before I joined the platform…”

Olusola’s hobby is driving and he does it with a passion. He was introduced to Uber by a friend a few months ago and was motivated to join because it did not require an office or a boss! Since joining, the biggest benefit is “I have the opportunity to be as flexible as I want and work when it suits me.“

Besides the flexibility, Olusola is able to explore his own city everyday. “Do you know how many places I go everyday?” says Olusola. “I love to drive. I’m so excited everyday.”

Want to know his most memorable experience? We were a little jealous when we found out! He picked up the popular female artiste Seyi Shay one day and was in awe. She was lovely and even gave him a signed CD to keep. Definitely a day he will never forget! 🙂 

“What prompted you to partner with us” we asked him. This question sparked deep emotions as he reminisced about not having a place of his own and living with his wife’s parents. He made the journey from there three weeks ago to take the Uber app certification and after learning that he was successful, made a mental note to work as hard as possible to finally build a home for his family.

With a joyful heart and tears in his eyes, Olusola let us know that within such a short period of driving on the platform, he has been to rent an apartment for himself and his wife who is now pregnant! Talk about perfect timing?
