Whether you are headed to work, a friend’s house, home from the club, or playing tourist on the weekends — you deserve to ride safely.

Today, we’re kicking off a new series called “Why I ride” where we will be highlighting top riders in our  community . We will be showcasing a series of entrepreneurs, creatives and some recognizable local faces who are sharing their unique stories on how Uber gets them around the City.

Meet Adebayo Oke-Lawal,  the owner and creative director of  orange culture – a menswear brand which has been around for 5 years . He  is also into  image consulting for magazines, stores and a few other reputable brands. We caught up with him to find out why he rides! See below for his story:

Why do you Uber?

I Uber because lagos can be super stressful especially when it involves driving around. As a business owner, I tend to have a lot of places to go to.  Uber takes away the stress of commuting from place to place. The rides are always  super comfortable and very stylish . I can  also work while on the move.

What places do you use Uber to?

I always find an excuse to use uber lol. I use Uber the most for market runs, trips to the airport and when I am going for events. Uber takes away the stress of parking and literally gives you a super stylish arrival.

What makes you feel safe about riding with Uber?

The tracking feature of the app – You can follow every move of the driver during the ride  and that helps alot when I use  uber for luxury deliveries . Also past experiences with the drivers and the brand image of Uber  has helped me grow confidence.

What’s your favourite feature in the Uber app?

Definitely the tracking feature and the “help” option because I know I will get a response almost immediately.

Why did you  download the Uber app?

I downloaded it for convenience . I was out with friends in london – we needed an affordable and safe way home – someone recommended uber to us with an  attractive first time rider discount code we got in and never looked back.
