We celebrated Mother’s Day the special way with our female driver-partners. We’ve fulfilled their request of having a yoga class, but of course, we took it to the next level by organising a sunset yoga class on a sky rooftop!

Female driver-partners participated with their mums, daughters and friends in an evening of relaxing hatha yoga thanks to our friends at Ash Be Nimble. Ash Be Nimble sponsored some of their popular sports hijabs to mothers and daughters that drive with Uber. We truly value the diversity of cultures and races that this country brings, as we pride ourselves to be an enabler for women across the country to have equal opportunity and income distribution.

Shahira was one of our lucky female partners who got the chance to have a sports hijab! Norshahira Binti Kamaruzzaman just turned 29 and she works as a financial executive for the Star newspaper. The reason why she drives with Uber is to make her daily routines more interesting. She loves how Uber is constantly making good improvements for their drivers. Here was her comment about the session, “I loved the session so much – we had such a kind and sweet yoga teacher. I enjoyed it so much that I browsed on Ash Be Nimble’s website to sign up for another yoga class!”

Umi Maryani, aged 25, is a leading project engineer and she drives part-time with Uber at night. The reason why she drives with Uber is to pass time meeting warm, friendly people and share experiences. When she saw the invitation to the yoga session – she responded immediately and clicked Yes. She hopes there will be more events just like this in the future.
