Diversity is making us stronger and is guiding us to create a more equitable and inclusive environment – both within Uber, and in the world we operate in. Our efforts have been recognised in the India Workplace Equality Index 2022, released by The India Pride Circle, who awarded us the Silver Standard in LGBT+ Inclusion measures incorporated by organisations.

It is essential for our workforce internally to reflect the diversity that exists on our platform, and for us to cultivate an environment where that diversity thrives and where people feel they belong and can contribute to our shared success. The recognition from India Pride Circle would go a long way in reaffirming that belief which in turn powers our actions.

Each employee at Uber is encouraged to bring their authentic self to work and is given ample opportunity to personally drive change through one of the several dedicated employee resource groups, which works towards the diverse needs of employees. Fostering a diverse workplace helps our business think critically about its goals in terms of our broader DEI strategy.
