Our partners work tirelessly to get you where you need to be, seamlessly and reliably. At Uber, they are the pulse that fuels our dream to evolve the way the world moves.

Here are a few stories about the men and women who are excited to say “I’m Driving You” as they get you where you need to go efficiently and affordably.

One of our first partners, Faisal’s life has taken on a new color after having joined Uber. With eyes filled with confidence and trust, Faisal vividly recollects the time when there were just 7 Ubers in the Kochi roads and his moments of hustle when he spent nights waking up drivers and inviting them to Uber. Along with his wish to continue providing high quality education to his children, Faisal also nurtures a dream of earning an average rating of 5.0

“I see Uber as a large family working together to serve a city in the best possible manner. I am not at stress anymore. I’ve completed 4 out of the 6 dues I owed when I joined Uber close to a year ago. My Uber term is Satisfaction – There hasn’t been a single rider who hasn’t mentioned a “Thank you” at the end of a ride.”

Unnikrishnan V.P

On September 7th, 2014, Unnikrishnan met with a major accident. Being an auto-rickshaw driver then, he found it increasingly difficult to meet the finances involved in the treatment. That was when Uber took the turn and entered his life. Unnikrishnan recollects the Friday, when he went online at 6:30 PM and steered his first rider from Cochin International Airport to Jawahar Nagar and from then there has been no reverse gear in Unnikrishan’s Uber life.

“It seems too good to be true when I look back and realize that driving with Uber for a little over 5 months has helped me repay most of my debts. Being a homely person, Uber has helped me get what I need – quality time with my family. My Uber term is Trust – I thoroughly believe in the system and I see Uber as a phoenix helping thousands of us rise from ashes”

Geo A.J

A Black Belt Third Dan holder, Geo has been practicing Karate for the past 21 years. Karate Association of India selected him as a National referee. He vividly recollects an Uber moment of a ride from Thaikudam to a theater in Kochi. The rider was late for the show. It was when the trip ended that the rider realized that he didn’t have change. Geo requested them to proceed to the cinema and to not miss the start. The rider called him on a later date and returned the fare.

“It fascinates me to move people to their destinations. Some rider interactions have taught me new things while some have inspired. It was a joyous moment when the son of a rider joined my Karate school, a few days after the ride. My Uber term is Confidence – I’ve gained a unique sense of courage as I am sure that somewhere down the lane there is always an Uber to drive me forward”

They trust us, they are confident and above all satisfied. There is no reason why we shouldn’t be proud to consider them a part of our family.
